Key concerns raised during the hearing included stray dog nuisances, drinking water shortages, and sanitation issues, highlighting the pressing civic challenges facing several districts.

Immediate Redressals and Departmental Directives Issued

Demonstrating proactive governance, MP Dr. Rawat addressed several grievances on the spot, coordinating with local officials for immediate resolution. Transfer requests, civic complaints, and public service appeals were handled with transparency and urgency.

In cases where instant solutions were not feasible, Dr. Rawat directed relevant departments to take swift action, ensuring that no voice went unheard.

Major Petitions Submitted During the Session

  • Bhupal Cooperative Society (Pratapnagar): A delegation from Pujya Sindhi Panchayat submitted a memorandum requesting issuance of property lease deeds for homes constructed on the 200-feet road. Despite these properties existing for over 75 years, legal ownership documents have not yet been provided.

  • Gogunda Panchayat Committee: Local leaders, including Panchayat Chief Sunder Devi, opposed the inclusion of Gogunda areas into the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) expansion. Citing the region’s TSP (Tribal Sub-Plan) status, they urged for its current status to remain unchanged.

  • Revenue Village Gud: Residents from Bamnia and Gud villages petitioned for the creation of a separate Gram Panchayat for Gud, which they claim holds the largest population in the proposed reorganization area.

  • Urban Cleanliness and Safety: The Hotel Association submitted a complaint led by Vice President Yashvardhan Singh Ranawat, seeking urgent action against stray dogs and the management of open garbage points in key areas including Sahelinagar, Ambapol, and near the Swaroop Sagar bridge.

Community-Centered Governance in Action

Dr. Rawat’s public hearing reflects a continued commitment to grassroots governance and community responsiveness. With swift interventions, policy follow-ups, and an inclusive approach, the session strengthened trust between elected representatives and the citizens they serve.
