OnePlus is introducing a new smartphone battery technology called Glacier Battery to improve the battery life and performance of its smartphones. This new technology was developed in collaboration with Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL) and will be available to the public on June 20th.
The Chinese brand is expected to soon launch the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, the first smartphone equipped with the new Glacier battery. The upcoming phone is expected to come with a 6100mAh battery.
OnePlus confirmed through a series of posts on Weibo that its “Glacier Battery” technology will be unveiled on June 20 at 2:00 p.m. (11:30 a.m. ET). This next-generation battery technology for Ace smartphones was developed in collaboration with CATL.

The brand claims that Glacier Battery technology eliminates common problems such as frequent charging, fear of running out of power, and the need for a power bank. It’s said to be a “game-changing” experience in terms of battery life.
Additionally, the Chinese digital chat station has suggested that the first device to utilize OnePlus’ cooling battery technology will be the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. The device does not have a release date, but it is expected to come with a large 6100mAh battery that supports 100W charging.
This fast charging technology is designed to charge the battery from zero to 100% in less than 30 minutes.
Despite the increased battery volume, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro has managed to maintain a slim appearance with a thickness of 8mm. The consultant suggests that future OnePlus smartphones will come with new battery technology.
