IDF Claims Major Strike on Hezbollah Targets

Jerusalem, May 3: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Saturday that it has launched attacks on approximately 120 Hezbollah positions. According to the IDF, its military targeted several sites through airstrikes, eliminating active terrorists in southern Lebanon.

The strikes reportedly destroyed around 70 military-use buildings and nearly 50 Hezbollah structures located in various areas. Key facilities used by Hezbollah fighters, including a headquarters, weapon storage, and other infrastructures, were also targeted.

In a post on ‘X’, the IDF stated that its air force destroyed a filled and ready-to-launch rocket launcher aimed at Israel in southern Lebanon. It further noted that Hezbollah has repeatedly violated ceasefire agreements.

The IDF also intercepted a rocket fired towards Israeli forces stationed in southern Lebanon on Saturday. Additionally, it was reported that Hezbollah has launched rockets and explosive drones that landed near areas where Israeli forces were operating.

Moreover, the IDF revealed that its air force prevented two aerial targets from entering Israeli territory. In a statement on Friday, the IDF mentioned that last week, its forces, along with Judea and Samaria border police and Shiite district police, arrested over 80 wanted individuals, including a terrorist who had fired at Israeli soldiers, as well as Hamas supporters, weapon holders, bomb makers, stone throwers, and those throwing Molotov cocktails.

During these operations, approximately 20 weapons were seized, including homemade Carlo-type weapons, shotguns, M-16s, pistols, hunting rifles, and M-4s, along with ammunition, military gear, and incendiary materials. Additionally, three machines used for manufacturing weapons and ammunition, seven drones, and prepared explosives were also recovered.

The IDF stated that the arrested individuals have been handed over to security forces for further investigation, and the seized weapons have been sent to the Sha’ar District police for examination.
