Narayan Seva Sansthan’s 43rd Divyang Mass Wedding: A Celebration of Love and Inclusion

51 Brides Bid Farewell with Tearful Eyes, 102 Families Rejoice in New Beginnings

Udaipur, February 9 – In a heartwarming display of love, resilience, and social solidarity, Narayan Seva Sansthan successfully conducted its 43rd two-day free mass wedding ceremony for differently-abled and underprivileged couples. A total of 51 brides embarked on their new journey with their life partners, as their union was solemnized with Vedic chants and blessings from benevolent donors and spiritual well-wishers from across the world.

The grand ceremony commenced at 9 AM with a grand procession (Bindoli) where the grooms, accompanied by their friends and families, danced with joy. Flower showers added to the festive spirit, making the occasion truly memorable. The grooms performed the traditional ‘Toran’ ritual before entering the wedding venue, while the brides, carried in beautifully adorned palanquins, were welcomed with floral showers and spectacular fireworks.

As the ceremonial songs echoed through the air, the exchange of garlands (Var Mala) turned into a deeply emotional moment. Some differently-abled grooms, lacking upper limbs, used their feet to put garlands on their brides, while others sitting in wheelchairs exchanged vows with determination and hope in their eyes. The sacred recitation of Vedic mantras and the holy fire ritual (Pheras) created an atmosphere of divine blessings and spiritual purity.

Amidst this celebratory environment, several individuals who had lost their limbs in unfortunate accidents walked confidently on stage, demonstrating their resilience and the life-changing impact of Narayan Seva Sansthan’s prosthetic limb services.

A Commitment to Empowering the Differently-Abled

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to empowering the differently-abled, emphasizing that their integration into mainstream society is essential for national progress. The organization’s founder, Padma Shri-awardee Kailash ‘Manav’, along with co-founder Kamla Devi, blessed the newlyweds, wishing them a life filled with happiness and prosperity.

As the bidding farewell (Vidai) ceremony began, the atmosphere turned deeply emotional. Parents, donors, and spiritual guardians shed tears as they lovingly sent off the daughters to their new homes, embracing them with heartfelt blessings.
