Bhopal, July 24: Rail travel from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi and Mumbai has become difficult after heavy rainfall in Mumbai disrupted train operations. Several trains have been cancelled, some have been diverted, while others are running behind schedule due to waterlogging on the Western Railway network. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the online train status before leaving for the station.
Heavy Rain Affects Train Operations
Senior officials of the Bhopal Railway Division said persistent heavy rainfall in Mumbai has impacted the movement of several trains passing through the division. Waterlogging between Bhilad and Borivali on the Mumbai Railway Division has forced changes in train operations, leading to cancellations, route diversions and delays.
Four Trains Cancelled
The following trains have been cancelled:
- Train No. 12909 Bandra Terminus–Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express
- Train No. 12953 Mumbai Central–Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express
- Train No. 12955 Mumbai Central–Jaipur Superfast Express
- Train No. 22975 Bandra Terminus–Ramnagar Express
Two Trains Diverted
The following trains will operate on revised routes:
- Train No. 22633 Thiruvananthapuram–Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (departed from Thiruvananthapuram on July 22) will run via Daund–Jalgaon–Paldhi–Udhna–Surat.
- Train No. 09323 Khadki–Indore Special (departing on July 23) will operate via Lonavala–Karjat–Panvel–Kalyan–Igatpuri–Jalgaon–Paldhi–Surat.
Seven Trains Running Late
The following trains are running behind schedule:
- 12980 Jaipur–Bandra Terminus Express – 2 hours 47 minutes late
- 22902 Udaipur City–Bandra Terminus Express – 3 hours 4 minutes late
- 04727 Hisar–Bandra Terminus Express – 3 hours late
- 12926 Amritsar–Bandra Terminus Express – 2 hours 20 minutes late
- 04711 Bikaner–Bandra Terminus Express – 2 hours late
- 12472 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Bandra Terminus Express – 1 hour 15 minutes late
- 09112 Gandhinagar Capital–Vadodara/Bandra Terminus Special – 3 hours late
