Morne Morkel Urges Indian Bowlers to Raise Standards Before 3rd T20I
Bowling coach Morne Morkel highlights the need for improved execution from India's bowlers before the third T20I against New Zealand.

Morne Morkel, India’s bowling coach, has called for heightened performance standards from the team’s bowlers ahead of the third T20I against New Zealand on Tuesday in Wellington. Despite leading the series 2-0, Morkel noted that better decision-making and execution are necessary.
India successfully chased down 226 runs in the first match and won the second T20I off the penultimate ball, which he described as a learning experience. Morkel reflected on the bowling performance, saying, “Our execution in certain phases wasn’t as good as I would have liked.” He emphasized that while the team has good plans, it comes down to their execution on the field.
Discussing the playing conditions, he said, “This is a different beast, this wind. It’s going to be a new sort of thing that we add to our books.” He acknowledged the impact of wind on batting and bowling, encouraging players to adapt quickly.
