Bhopal, October 5 (Udaipur Kiran News): The monsoon in Madhya Pradesh is showing no signs of retreat yet, as several parts of the state continue to receive rainfall before its official withdrawal. According to the weather department, cyclonic circulation remains active over the state, bringing intermittent rainfall. Although the monsoon has withdrawn from 12 districts, it is expected to completely retreat by October 10. Until then, the state will continue to experience occasional rain — from light drizzles to heavy showers depending on system strength.

Currently, a low-pressure area is active over the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh, sustaining rain activities. On Saturday, more than 15 districts received rainfall. Bhopal witnessed heavy rain, while Indore, Betul, Datia, Khajuraho (Chhatarpur), Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Umaria, Shajapur, Sehore, Rajgarh, Dewas, and Agar-Malwa recorded light showers.

IMD has forecast light rain in several districts again on Sunday.

So far, the monsoon has withdrawn from Gwalior, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, and parts of Rajgarh and Ashoknagar. However, favourable conditions for complete withdrawal are likely to form by October 10.

Among the districts, Guna recorded the highest rainfall this season with 65.6 inches, while Shajapur (28.9 inches), Khargone (29.6 inches), Khandwa (32 inches), Barwani (33.5 inches), and Dhar (33.6 inches) remained below average.
