TCS, Airtel, and Infosys See Declines Amid Weekly Stock Market Gains
New Delhi, February 2 – The Indian stock market witnessed a significant rise in the past week, leading to a surge in the market capitalization (market cap) of seven out of the ten most valued companies. During the Monday-to-Friday trading session, these seven companies collectively added a staggering ₹1,83,322.54 crore to their market cap.
However, three major firms, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Bharti Airtel, and Infosys, saw a combined market cap decline of ₹48,923.23 crore, with TCS suffering the most losses.
The BSE Sensex jumped 1,315.5 points (1.72%), while the NSE Nifty climbed 389.95 points (1.68%), reflecting the strong performance of the equity markets over the week.
