Lucknow, January 2 – The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 46 IAS officers in a late-night development on Thursday. The reshuffle includes key changes across multiple departments, with notable assignments to senior officials. IAS officer Sanjay Prasad has been reappointed to the critical Home Department.

- New Role: Additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Basic Education Department.
- Previous Role: Relieved of the charge as Additional Chief Secretary for Home, Visa, Passport, and Vigilance departments.
L. Venkateshwarlu
- New Role: Additional charge as Principal Secretary of Social Welfare, Tribal Development, and Soldier Welfare.
- Additional responsibilities include Managing Director of UP SIDCO and Director of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Research and Training Institutes.
Rajesh Kumar Singh-I
- New Role: Principal Secretary, Home Guard Department.
B.L. Meena
- Current Role: Retains charge as Principal Secretary of Horticulture, Sericulture, Food Processing, and Home Guard Departments.
- Relieved of exclusive Home Guard responsibilities.
Alok Kumar-II
- New Role: Principal Secretary for Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department.
- Relieved of previous roles overseeing Handloom and Textiles, Khadi and Village Industries, Public Enterprises, and Skill Development departments.
