Karnataka Minister D. Sudhakar Passes Away, Congress President Expresses Condolences

Bengaluru, May 10: Karnataka government minister D. Sudhakar passed away on Sunday after a prolonged illness. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed his sorrow over Sudhakar’s demise.

In a post on the social media platform X, Kharge stated that he was deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Sudhakar. He mentioned that their relationship extended beyond politics, as he shared a bond with Sudhakar’s father and cherished their friendship.

Kharge reflected on the pain of losing someone so close unexpectedly, saying, “When a very dear person leaves so suddenly, the pain intensifies, and today I find myself engulfed in such unspoken grief.” He described Sudhakar as an active and beloved individual who still had much to achieve, emphasizing that accepting his departure at such a young age is unimaginable.

He praised Sudhakar’s vibrant personality and noted his significant contributions to the cooperative sector. Despite not securing a substantial vote count from his community, Sudhakar garnered support and affection from the local populace, showcasing his secular qualities and connection with the people. Kharge concluded by praying for Sudhakar’s soul and expressing solidarity with his grieving family.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar also mourned Sudhakar’s passing, calling it a personal loss. In his post on X, Shivakumar highlighted Sudhakar’s dedication as a leader concerned for the welfare of the people, recalling how Sudhakar would always approach him with requests for development work in his constituency.

Shivakumar expressed that Sudhakar’s departure leaves an irreplaceable void for his family, relatives, and countless supporters. He prayed for Sudhakar’s soul to find peace and for strength for his family to endure this sorrow.
