
New Delhi : The Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi has extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and BRS leader K. Kavitha until August 9 in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja issued the order. The trio appeared in court via video conferencing as their judicial custody period ended today.
Court Decision on Judicial Custody
On July 29, the CBI filed a chargesheet against Kejriwal in this case. Earlier, on July 22, the Rouse Avenue Court took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the CBI against Kavitha, who was arrested on April 11. So far, 18 people have been arrested in connection with this case, including Kejriwal, Sisodia, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and BRS leader Kavitha. Sanjay Singh has been granted regular bail by the Supreme Court.
