Jaipur, 20 November (Udaipur Kiran)। The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday detained a woman Sub-Inspector of Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Jaipur East Commissionerate, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1,25,000.

According to ACB Director General of Police Govind Gupta, the bureau received a complaint stating that a case (No. 380/2024) under Sections 420, 406, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC was registered against the complainant at Gandhi Nagar Police Station. The accused officer, identified as Rajkumari Juneja, allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹2 lakh for not taking action in the case and for filing an FR. She was caught while accepting the first instalment of ₹1,25,000.
The action was carried out under the supervision of ACB Deputy Inspector General Jaipur-II Anand Sharma. A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Kumar Swami, along with Police Inspector Nathulal Bansiwal and others, trapped the officer and recovered the bribe amount from her possession.
Further questioning and legal proceedings are underway under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava. The bureau will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and continue further investigation.
