According to reports, the iPhone 17 Slim will be released by Apple next year and could be complemented or replaced by one of the company’s smartphone models. In recent years, the Cupertino company has released four models as part of its product line, the latest devices including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, the company is reportedly planning to launch of a new “slim” model that could be more expensive than its most expensive flagship phones.
Information (via GSMArena) reports that Apple is planning to launch a new iPhone 17 Slim model as part of its 2025 smartphone lineup. The company has not yet announced this year’s iPhone 16 series, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2024. It is currently unclear whether the rumored iPhone model will replace the “Plus” model and may end up being the iPhone 13 mini model. The smallest Apple device came onto the market in 2021.

Citing unnamed sources, the publication states that the iPhone 17 Slim will be the most expensive model in the company’s 2025 lineup and will be more expensive than the previous top-of-the-line iPhone 17, suggesting it will be more expensive than that Pro Max – Linear Model Earlier this month, Apple released the iPad Pro (2024) with a much slimmer body than its predecessor. `
The iPhone 17 Slim is also expected to come with a new design and Apple is reportedly considering a central rear camera module and an aluminum body for this phone. Apple’s recent iPhone models have maintained a similar design since the iPhone X was introduced in 2017.
According to a recent report, Apple is working on reducing the size of the dynamic island in the iPhone 17 series. The iPhone 17 Slim Mode is said to have a 6.6-inch display, which is larger than the iPhone 17 (6.1-inch) and iPhone 17 Pro (6.3-inch), iPhone 17 Pro Max (6, 9 inches) is however smaller.
But it’s worth taking these claims with a grain of salt, more than a year before Apple announced the iPhone 17 series as the successor to its iPhone 16 series. The iPhone 16 series is expected to be unveiled in mid-2024 at an unveiling event in 2019.
