600+ Experts Gather to Discuss ‘Domain Beyond Patenting & Emerging Fields in Pharmacy’ at Pacific University

Udaipur: The two-day International Conference on ‘Domain Beyond Patenting & Emerging Fields in Pharmacy: Opportunities and Challenges’ commenced on Saturday at Pacific University, in collaboration with the Association of Community Pharmacists of India (ACPI). The conference, attended by over 600 experts from India and abroad, aims to explore the latest advancements, innovations, and challenges in pharmaceutical sciences, technology, and intellectual property management.
The inaugural session featured distinguished guests including Dr. Deependra Singh, Chairman of PCI’s ERC Committee, Dr. A. Nagappa, National President, ACPI, Dr. Rakesh Somani, President of ACPI’s Western Regional Council, Rahul Agrawal, Founder, Pacific Group of Education, Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Group President, Pacific Group of Institutions, Registrar Sharad Kothari, and Prof. Hemant Kothari, President, Pacific University.

Need for Public Awareness on Patents

Prof. Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Group President, Pacific Group of Institutions, emphasized that patent knowledge can boost pharmaceutical research and strengthen the economy through commercial utilization of patented drugs.

Prof. Hemant Kothari, President of Pacific University, stressed the importance of spreading patent awareness among the general public and demonstrated how Pacific University is integrating research and innovation into academic practices.
