The Chairman, Railway Board interacting with media in New Delhi today said that serious endeavours are being made on the safety and security front which are yielding positive results. He pointed out that there have been no passenger fatalities during the current financial year as the result of very conscious efforts. While Safety is given priority, every effort is made to stick to punctuality. Efforts are also to improve passenger amenities and facilities through various measures that are being planned to be introduced over the next few months on the catering front etc.
