Udaipur, August 1 – A spiritually charged atmosphere prevailed in Udaipur’s Sector 14 as thousands of devotees gathered at Shri Kali Kalyan Shaktipith for a historic Bhajan Sandhya and a majestic Shobhayatra, making it a landmark event in the city’s religious and cultural calendar.

The Bhajan Sandhya, held a day prior, witnessed the participation of an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 devotees. Reverberating with devotion and cultural pride, the evening was graced by fiery and widely admired leader T. Raja Singh, who delivered a powerful 15-minute address. He spoke strongly on the film based on the Kanhaiya Lal murder case and urged the Hindu community to remain united, drawing loud applause and resonating support from the crowd.
Adding to the grandeur, members of the Mewar royal family attended the event, bestowing an aura of tradition and respectability. Dignitaries such as former Deputy Chairperson Paras Singhvi, Rural MLA Phoolchand Meena, leader Prati Sattawat, and spiritual figure Sudarshanacharya Ji were also present and praised the scale and sanctity of the event.
Musical performances by Rapariya Balam’s team and the Sharma Brothers elevated the spiritual fervour, compelling the audience to sing and dance in devotion. Spectacular live tableaus depicting Narsingh Avatar and the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati became the highlight, captivating the audience and celebrating the beauty of Sanatan Dharma.
In continuation, a grand Shobhayatra was carried out today. Starting at 3 PM from the temple premises, it traversed through the entire Sector 14, concluding at 11 PM. The procession featured 75 horses, camels, and elaborate living tableaux of various deities, blessing devotees as they made their way through the city streets. The entire area echoed with devotional chants and jubilant cries of “Jai Mata Di”, creating a powerful ambiance of faith, culture, and celebration.
With its mix of devotion, patriotism, and Mewar’s valor, this event will be remembered for years to come as a shining example of collective spiritual expression and community unity in Udaipur.
