France Triumphs Over Belgium 4-1 in Nations League Clash

Paris, October 6 (Udaipur Kiran) : France concluded its international break in style with a commanding 4-1 victory over Belgium at the Stade de France on October 6. The win propelled the French team to the top of their Nations League group.

Belgium initially took the lead in the match, with Dodi Lukebakio scoring in the first half. However, the second half saw a dramatic turnaround as France scored four goals to secure a decisive win.

Coach Zinedine Zidane made effective use of his star-studded bench after halftime, bringing on key players who quickly changed the game’s momentum. Desire Doué and Rayan Cherki scored two rapid goals, turning the tide in France’s favor. In the 77th minute, Lucas da Cunha set up Doué, who leveled the score with a well-placed shot into the side netting, despite pressure from several Belgian defenders. Shortly after, Olise made a decisive run into the penalty area, assisting Cherki for France’s second goal, which put them ahead 2-1.

Olise then capped off an impressive performance by scoring two late goals, one in the 88th minute and another in injury time, sealing the victory for France. The impact of three substitute players within just fourteen minutes highlighted France’s depth and tactical prowess.

Looking ahead, France’s next match is scheduled for November 12 against Italy, followed by a game against Turkey on November 15.
