Dynastic politicians want to divide people in caste: Modi

Ghazipur (UP), March 2 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attacked the opposition parties and said the dynastic politicians want to divide the poor and the citizens of the country in the name of caste, so that their ploy continues. Addressing an election rally here, Modi said, “Dynastic politicians want the poor and other citizens of the country to get divided in castes so that their ploy continues, but you have to tell them that the region, development of the country and the bright future of children is supreme.” He said for their personal interests, the dynastic politicians changed the identity of the virtuous region. “During the rule of dynastic politicians, mafia and musclemen became the identity of the region. This is the time to p sh those who changed the identity of the region. P sh them with your vote,” he added. “So many things happened during the regime of dynastic politicians. Localities of our Dalit brothers and sisters were torched. The people of Ghazipur have not forgotten the era, when one of our promising leaders Krishnanand Rai was shot dead. Today, those who used to roam in open jeeps during riots, are on their knees. Welfare of the poor has replaced terror, which prevailed during the previous government.” “They are the same dynastic politicians who used to mock us when we spoke about toilets. These dynastic politicians never understood the pain of our mothers and sisters. It is our government which removed the pain,” he said. The PM said that those who travel in expensive vehicles can never understand the pain of the poor. “Those who live in palaces and travel in expensive vehicles can never understand the pain of the poor. They can never understand the trouble caused to mothers and sisters from the smoke emitting from the stove. Our government gave gas connections under the Ujjwala scheme to 2.5 lakh mothers and sisters in Ghazipur,” he said. He said that dynastic politicians are so insensitive that they used to usurp the money meant for people specially abled, senior citizens and the destitute. “The mentality is the same even today. They are eyeing the money meant for your development, therefore you must remain cautious from these dynastic politicians,” he said. Modi said, “The BJP government is providing free ration to 15 crore people in UP. Rs 2.60 lakh crore is being spent on this in the country. If this work was to be done by the dynastic politicians, they would have made you crave for a single grain and would have usurped the money themselves.” He said the BJP government is also paying attention towards the needs of small and marginal farmers. “Today, around Rs 850 crore have been deposited in the bank accounts of more than five lakh farmers of Ghazipur under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi,” he said.
