Burglary at Boxer Mary Kom’s Faridabad Home; Six Thieves Steal Valuables Worth Lakhs, Caught on CCTV

Faridabad, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News) – In a shocking incident, six thieves broke into the Faridabad residence of six-time world boxing champion and Olympic medalist Mary Kom and made away with valuables worth lakhs of rupees. The burglary took place on the night of September 24 at her house in Sector 46, while she was away in Meghalaya attending a marathon event.

According to reports, the thieves stole items including a television, inverter battery, water taps, and other valuable household items. The incident came to light when CCTV footage from the neighbourhood showed six suspects carrying stolen goods from the house.

Neighbour Atit, who alerted the police, said Mary Kom had been living in the area for the past three years but was away for the past two weeks. “The CCTV footage shows six men entering and leaving the house around 4 AM on September 24. One is seen carrying a bag, another a TV, and others taking items on foot and a scooter,” he said.

The theft was discovered when neighbours reviewed CCTV recordings from the locality. They immediately tried to contact Mary Kom and later informed the Surajkund police. After communication was established, CCTV screenshots were shared with her.

Another resident, Sandeep Bansal, said the burglary has created fear and anger among locals as theft cases are increasing in the area.

Following the complaint, teams from the Surajkund Police Station, Crime Branch, and Forensic Unit reached the spot to collect evidence. The forensic team gathered samples, and police have seized CCTV footage from surrounding houses for investigation.

Surajkund Police Station in-charge Prahlad Kumar confirmed that seven teams have been formed to track the culprits.

“The suspects have been captured on CCTV. We are analysing the footage and expect to arrest all the accused soon,” he said.
