BN Institutions: Vidya Pracharini Sabha Meeting, Polls Deferred

Udaipur, February 13, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The proposed meeting and elections of Vidya Pracharini Sabha, associated with BN Institutions (Bhupal Nobles Institutions), scheduled for February 13, 2026, have been postponed in view of ongoing judicial proceedings.

Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar

Sabha President and Chief Patron Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar issued formal directions in this regard. In his letter, he stated that disputes related to the appointment of new members are currently under consideration before the court. The matters include Case No. 620/2025 (C.M.A.), C.M.A. No. 15/2026 before the Udaipur court, and Case No. 67/2026 pending before the Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan Department.

As per the order passed in C.M.A. 15/2026, the court observed that it cannot presently determine whether the appointment of new members was carried out as per the prescribed procedure. The order also grants the President and Chief Patron the authority to consider staying the elections or taking any other appropriate decision in view of the circumstances.

Exercising these powers, Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar has directed that the meeting and elections proposed for February 13, 2026, be deferred until the court delivers its final decision or the dispute is resolved.

He clarified that although the tenure of the current administration has ended, routine administrative work will continue under special circumstances. Regular functioning will be carried out with the assistance of Dr Yuvrajsingh Jhala, Balwantsingh Shishvi, and advocate Narendra Singh. After his return to Udaipur following the Assembly session, necessary steps will be taken to initiate an external audit as per the letter dated September 9, 2025.

In his statement, Maharana Vishvaraj Singh Mewar expressed regret that the educational institution founded by his great-grandfather, late Maharana Bhupal Singh, has become entangled in legal disputes. He also noted that serious allegations reported in the media against a person associated with the management have affected the institution’s dignity.
