Bar Council of India takes strict action against 11 law colleges
Udaipur, 29 July – In a significant decision, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has barred 11 law colleges across the country from admitting new students for the academic session 2025-26. Among the affected institutions, two are from Rajasthan, including Dr. Anushka Law College in Udaipur.

The BCI took this step after reviewing the academic standards, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance of the concerned institutions. According to the order, these colleges will not be allowed to admit new students until they meet the required norms and standards.
This action is being seen as a warning to the institutions to improve their internal systems and strictly follow the prescribed guidelines. So far, there has been no official response from the management of Dr. Anushka Law College. Meanwhile, students and parents are left in a state of confusion, awaiting clarity on the next steps.
