Lucknow, June 15: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav, stating that the historic victories of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar and West Bengal have increased Yadav’s anxiety. Maurya remarked that the SP leader is so disheartened that he perceives a bleak future for his party in Uttar Pradesh, leading him to make irresponsible statements in a state of despair.
In a post on the social media platform X, Maurya emphasized that the defeats of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar and the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, alongside BJP’s significant wins, have deepened the lines of worry on Akhilesh Yadav’s forehead. He noted that Yadav’s negativity stems from his belief that his party’s future is dim, prompting him to resort to threatening rhetoric.
Maurya stated that democracy is at the core of India, and elections occur every five years as per the Constitution, not at the whim of any party. He asserted that the public is the ultimate decider, and with the vision of a developed India by 2047, the BJP’s lotus will continue to bloom, while the SP’s politics of negativity and despair will only weaken it further.
Earlier, Maurya commented on Rahul Gandhi’s dreams for 2029, suggesting that while the country is rapidly progressing towards a developed India by 2047, the Congress party is searching for its lost political ground, and the SP is struggling to maintain its existence in Uttar Pradesh. He concluded that both parties have become so weak among the public that discussing power is akin to someone without a paddle trying to conquer the sea.
