Zakir Musa, chief of Ansar Gazwatul Hind killed in Srinagar encounter

Srinagar, May 24 (HS): Security forces have gunned down top militant commander and Ansar Gazwatul Hind chief Zakir Musa in Tral area of South Kahmir.

According to reports, on tip of information a joint team of 42RR, police and CRPF laid a tight cordon in Dadsara Tral area of Pulwama district.

A Police officer said that soon after forces approached towards the suspect site, the militants opened fire which led to brief encounter.

He said that one militant was killed who later identified as Zakir Musa, chief of Ansar Gazwatul Hind.

In view of his killing, internet services have been suspended across valley and authorities have ordered closer of all schools.
