PM Modi, Amit Shah calls on Advani, Joshi

New Delhi,  May 24  (Udaipur Kiran): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday called on the party patriarch L K Advani after the BJP single-handedly crossed the 300 Lok Sabha seat mark securing a thumping majority in the country’s biggest democratic exercise.

After a clear mandate in favour of re-electing BJP at the Centre and states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday evening thanked the people of the country including the political workers from the BJP and  even his rival political opponents for making this massive democratic election a  resounding success.
In a tweet, Modi said, “The BJP’s resounding victory in the just concluded general elections should be  attributed to the hard work of the veteran leader”.
“Called on respected Advani Ji. The BJP’s successes today are possible because greats like him spent decades building the party and providing a fresh ideological narrative to the people,” Modi tweeted.
Prime Minister also met another BJP stalwart Dr M M Joshi. Both the leaders Advani and M M Joshi did not contest elections this year.
