The Xiaomi MIX Flip launched globally today, a few months after it first debuted in China this July. The MIX Flip is Xiaomi’s first clamshell folding smartphone, and, with the Xiaomi MIX Flip, you get a 4-inch cover display-one of the biggest in the market-a lot of RAM: up to 16GB, and 67W fast charging support. Xiaomi has launched the MIX Flip in select global markets but there’s no word on its India launch just yet.
Xiaomi MIX Flip Price, availability
- The Xiaomi Mix Flip is priced at 1299 Euros (Rs 1,21,000 approx) for the single 12GB + 256GB variant.
- The Xiaomi foldable is up for purchase in Europe. Availability for other markets hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
- Xiaomi MIX Flip is available in Black and Purple colours.
Xiaomi MIX Flip Specifications
- Display: Xiaomi MIX Flip has a primary display from 6.86 inches 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO with UTG glass protection. Its cover does exist with a 4-inch 1.5K TCL C8+ LTPO with glass protection in Xiaomi Sheild. Both primary and cover display are available to be viewed at 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
- Processor: Below the foldable hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It’s a top-of-the-line chip from last year and one that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 also sports.
- Battery, charging: The foldable packs a 4,780mAh battery that supports fast charging at 67W. Wireless charging isn’t supported.
- Camerac It has a 50MP primary camera along with OIS and 50MP telephoto sensor on the cover display. There’s a 32MP camera up front for selfies on the primary display.
- Battery, charging: On the software front, MIX Flip comes pre-installed with Android 14-based HyperOS.
Xiaomi MIX Flip alternatives
The foldable category has to date only a few options although the market is slowly growing. As the Xiaomi MIX Flip will start arriving in stores in the coming week, it will sit alongside even more high-end clamshell foldable devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. These are top-end clamshell foldables aimed at various markets, including India. More recently, there was the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, though pricing has yet to be announced.
