The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast significant changes in weather across India, with rain, fog, and a drop in temperatures expected in several regions. From Delhi NCR to UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan, the coming days will bring colder conditions, with some areas likely to experience light rainfall.

Northwest India: Dense Fog and Temperature Dip
IMD reports indicate that Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh will see dense fog during late-night and early-morning hours between December 7 and 10. The minimum temperature across northwestern India is expected to gradually drop by 2°C in the next three days, intensifying the cold wave.
- Delhi Weather:
Delhi experienced its coldest night of the season on Thursday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.5°C, which is 1°C below normal. IMD predicts:- Clear skies on December 6, with light smog or haze in the morning and evening.
- A Western Disturbance may affect the western Himalayan region starting December 8, extending its impact to northwestern plains.
- Maximum temperatures to hover around 24°C to 26°C, while the minimum could drop to 7°C.
- Haryana Weather:

UP Weather: Foggy Mornings and Light Rain
In Uttar Pradesh, the weather will remain dry on December 6 and 7, with moderate fog expected in some areas. On December 8, light rain is likely in certain parts of the state, accompanied by foggy mornings and cool winds.
Rajasthan Weather: Temperature to Plummet
Rajasthan will also experience a sharp dip in temperatures. According to IMD, a Western Disturbance on December 7 will bring colder winds from the Himalayas by December 9, causing:
- A 2°C to 3°C drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures across western and northern Rajasthan.
- The northern parts of the state are expected to see colder days as the impact of northerly winds increases.
Bihar Weather: Rain and Temperature Drop
Bihar is set to experience a 2°C to 3°C drop in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours, followed by a gradual rise. Light rain is predicted in:
- Southwest Bihar, South Central Bihar, Northeast Bihar, and Southeast Bihar on December 8 and 9.
Central India: Stable Weather with Slight Relief
Unlike the northern states, central India will witness relatively stable weather, with no significant changes expected in minimum temperatures over the next five days. Residents can expect mild relief from the cold.
