The rains will affect around 57 districts, with the possibility of showers in the remaining regions as well.
Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey, a weather scientist at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, shared that a low-pressure area has developed over the central and northern Bay of Bengal. This system is likely to intensify into a depression by September 9, moving northwest over the next three to four days, impacting regions like West Bengal, northern Odisha, Jharkhand, and northern Chhattisgarh. These developments will lead to increased monsoon activity from Monday onwards, with some areas in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh expected to experience heavy rainfall.
This rainfall pattern is likely to continue until the end of September, covering nearly the entire state by Monday. In addition to rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected.
