“Waste to Art” Workshop Highlights Creativity and Cleanliness in Udaipur

Udaipur, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anthropological Survey of India (Western Regional Centre, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Udaipur) successfully concluded a two-day internal workshop titled “Waste to Art” under the Swachhta 5.0 campaign on Friday.

Waste to Art

The workshop was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Nilanjan Khatua, Officer-in-Charge and Deputy Director, and guided artistically by Art and Craft Expert Neelofar Munir. The initiative aimed to promote the creative reuse of discarded materials and to spread awareness about cleanliness and environmental responsibility through art.

Creativity with a Message of Cleanliness
Participants from various scientific and administrative sections created eco-friendly file covers using old newspapers and crafted colourful kite art pieces from household waste materials. These vibrant creations symbolised teamwork, sustainability, and innovation.

The two-day session witnessed an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, collaboration, and creativity, reflecting how environmental responsibility and artistic imagination can go hand in hand.

“Cleanliness is Not Just a Habit, but a Path to a Beautiful Future”
Addressing the closing ceremony, Dr. Nilanjan Khatua said that where most people see waste, an artist sees possibilities. He added that initiatives like “Waste to Art” under the Swachhta 5.0 campaign not only encourage recycling but also inspire society to adopt a cleaner, greener, and more creative lifestyle.

He concluded by emphasising that cleanliness is more than just a habit — it represents a commitment to building a beautiful and sustainable future.
