Udaipur : Acting Ambassador of the United States Embassy in New Delhi, Patricia A. Lacina, and Minister Counselor for Public Affairs Gloria F. Barbena departed Udaipur by air on Monday evening after a three-day visit to Udaipur and Pali districts.

The delegation, which was in Udaipur to promote tourism, was taken on a tour of Udaipur and Pali’s major tourist and historical sites by Deputy Director of Tourism Shikha Saxena under the direction of District Collector Arvind Pooswal. They were also introduced to the local art, culture, and heritage.
The guests described Udaipur and the surrounding tourist attractions as “extremely beautiful” and spoke of the need to improve connectivity and promote tourism. They also suggested creating small shopping hubs for tourists where all the attractive items that attract tourists could be found in one place.
During the guests’ stay, Shikha Saxena gifted them a travel notebook, a handmade writing book, and an elephant keychain on behalf of the Tourism Department. The guests also presented the Deputy Director of Tourism with a souvenir.
