Udaipur, May 29 — In a proud moment for Rajasthan’s cooperative sector, The Udaipur Mahila Samriddhi Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. has bagged two prestigious national awards, elevating the profile of women’s banking in the state. The bank was honored with the “Best Women Urban Co-operative Bank” award and Nipun Chittoda, the bank’s IT Head, received the “Best IT Head of the Year” award under the esteemed Bharat Ratna Sahkarita Samman.

Recognized at National Cooperative Convention in Mumbai
The accolades were conferred during the National Cooperative Convention held on May 23, 2025, at Hotel The Lalit, Mumbai, organized by BoT-B Mumbai — a nationally recognized institution in the fields of cooperation, IT, and banking. The event witnessed participation from co-operative banks across the country.
Dr. Kiran Jain, Chairperson of the bank, and CEO Vinod Chaplot shared details of this recognition, stating that these awards were based on the bank’s stellar performance during the financial year 2024–25.
The awards were presented by Shri Sumnesh Joshi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of IT & Communications, Government of India, and Shri Prabhat Chaturvedi, CEO of the National Urban Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation.

Nipun Chittoda was conferred the Best IT Head of the Year for his outstanding contribution to the bank’s digital transformation and IT innovation. His work was key in strengthening digital infrastructure and promoting secure, tech-driven customer service.
The “Best Women Urban Co-op Bank” award recognized the bank’s overall performance in governance, growth, financial services, and its dedicated efforts in promoting women-centric banking solutions.
