(Kiran News). Udaipur’s Reyansh Upadhyay has made the city proud by winning a silver medal at the National Kickboxing Championship 2025, held in Chennai. Reyansh, a resident of New Mahalaxmi Nagar Colony in Badgaon area, performed exceptionally well in the 37 kg weight category, bringing glory to Rajasthan.
After securing a gold medal at the state level, Reyansh advanced to the national stage. At the national championship, he defeated players from Haryana, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu to reach the finals. In a hard-fought final, Reyansh narrowly missed the gold, losing by just one point to the Maharashtra competitor, but still clinched the silver medal with his spirited effort.
Reyansh’s outstanding achievement has filled his coach Bhupendra Singh and the entire team at Mix Martial Art Bedla Academy with excitement and pride. Reyansh’s mother, Pallavi, shared that after winning gold at the state level, her son dedicated himself to intense practice day and night, aiming for a gold at the nationals. While the family hoped for a gold, they are equally proud of his silver medal and believe that Reyansh will bring gold not only for Rajasthan but also for the country in the future.
Coach Bhupendra Singh and Kailash Bharti worked hard with Reyansh, increasing his daily practice from one hour to 4–5 hours after his selection for the nationals. This rigorous training helped him reach the finals and secure a silver medal.
Reyansh has previously won medals on several major platforms, including a bronze at the 5th District Inter School Kudo Championship (2018), gold at the State Kudo MMA Championship (2018–19), bronze at the 6th State Championship (2019), and gold at the State Championship (2025).
