Udaipur Kiran, Udaipur, 29 December: The state government has expressed its commitment to protecting the Aravalli range by launching a special campaign from Monday to prevent illegal mining in districts adjacent to the Aravalli extension. Under this initiative, joint teams from mining, forest, revenue, police, and transport departments, operating under the direction of the District Collector, are closely monitoring illegal mining activities in Udaipur.
On the first day of the campaign, the joint team took action against a brick kiln in Vallabhnagar and seized a large stockpile of illegally stored mineral brick earth.
Mining Engineer Asif Ansari reported that during the inspection, the team found 4000 metric tons of illegally stored brick earth in Uda Kheda village of the Vallabhnagar area. A case has been registered, and action is being taken according to the rules.
Mr. Ansari further stated that under the District Collector’s guidance, joint teams at the district and sub-division levels will continue regular monitoring and take strict action against illegal mining until 15 January.
