Udaipur, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) — The new Vande Bharat Express connecting Udaipur City and Ahmedabad (Asarwa) commenced operations on Monday. The train was flagged off after an inauguration ceremony held at Udaipur City railway station.

Punjab Governor Gulabchand Kataria flagged off the train in the presence of Udaipur MP Dr Mannalal Rawat and Chittorgarh MP C.P. Joshi.
Train number 09663, Udaipur City–Ahmedabad (Asarwa) Vande Bharat Express inaugural special service, departed from Udaipur City at 12:25 pm and is scheduled to reach Asarwa station at 5:15 pm.
On this route, the train will halt at Zawar, Dungarpur and Himmatnagar railway stations.
Regular Operations From February 18
The regular service will operate as train numbers 26963/26964 between Udaipur City and Ahmedabad (Asarwa) six days a week, except Tuesday, from February 18.
The train from Ahmedabad (Asarwa) to Udaipur City will also run six days a week, except Tuesday. The rake will comprise seven AC Chair Car coaches and one Executive AC Chair Car coach.
Fare Details
For travel from Udaipur to Asarwa, the fare in Chair Car (CC) class is Rs 900, while Executive Chair Car (EC) is priced at Rs 1,690.
For the return journey from Asarwa to Udaipur, the CC fare is Rs 1,065 and the EC fare is Rs 1,875. The higher fare in Executive Class on the return leg includes dinner service.
