Huawei has confirmed the Pura 90 Plus, opening pre-orders in China ahead of its October 28 launch, with live images revealing a new Kirin 9025 chipset.
October 25 (Udaipur Kiran) : Huawei officially confirmed the Pura 90 Plus on Friday and opened pre-orders for the new smartphone in China, ahead of its scheduled launch on October 28. While the company has yet to disclose official specifications, display units of the phone have already appeared in Huawei retail stores, and live images of the device have surfaced online.

One of the retail display units shows the About phone screen, listing the new Kirin 9025 chipset, 12GB of RAM, a 2848×1276 screen resolution, HarmonyOS 7, and the model number LCI-AL00. The Pura 90 Plus is the first smartphone to feature the Kirin 9025 chipset. According to a tipster, this new processor is an overclocked version of the Kirin 9020 found in the previous generation.
The leaked photos also reveal the phone’s curved sides and a triangular camera island, with the device shown in the Sunset Purple colour variant.
Another tipster claims that the Pura 90 Plus delivers a 19% overall performance improvement compared to last year’s Pura 80 Pro, which ran on the Kirin 9020. The same source suggests that the Kirin 9025 offers performance on par with the Kirin 9030S, used in the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max. However, benchmark results are still awaited to confirm these performance claims.
The handset reportedly features a 6.8-inch curved 1.5K LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. A previous leak indicated that the device will be equipped with a 50MP 1-inch type RYYB main camera with a variable aperture.
Huawei has confirmed that the Pura 90 Plus will offer 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. The available colour options include Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple, and Snowy White. These specifications are similar to the Pura 80 Pro, which also features a 6.8-inch 1276×2848 screen and a 1-inch type 50MP main camera with variable aperture.
Huawei is expected to announce the full specifications and pricing details of the Pura 90 Plus at the launch event on October 28.
