Three Killed in Road Accident on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Ahmedabad Residents

Ahmedabad : Three people were killed and six others injured in a road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Unbada village in the Bandikui police station area of Dausa district early Sunday morning at 5 am. The injured are being treated at the district hospital in Dausa.

The accident occurred due to a bull suddenly coming in front of the car. The car went out of control and hit the divider. During this time, three people, including a husband and wife, were crushed by a truck that came from behind as soon as they got out of the car. Hansmukh, his wife Seema and uncle Mohanlal, residents of Ahmedabad, Gujarat died on the spot.

According to Bandikui police, the deceased Hansmukh’s maternal uncle Kirat Bhai told that his sister Savita had gone to Haridwar on May 6 for a visit. Savita died in Haridwar on Saturday morning. So he was going to perform her last rites along with his wife, daughter and other relatives. During this time his car met with an accident. In the accident, the bodies of all three were badly mutilated and scattered on the highway.

Neeta, Neelam and driver Dinesh were seriously injured in the accident. While maternal uncle Kirat Bhai, Neeta’s daughter Sadia and Hansmukh’s son Niwal have suffered minor injuries. All the injured are being treated at the Dausa District Hospital.

It is noteworthy that NHAI had claimed that stray animals cannot enter the expressway. For this, large railings have been installed on both sides. Despite this, accidents are happening every day due to stray animals.
