Mumbai, March 16: Tata Motors continues to dominate the Indian electric vehicle market with its robust portfolio, which includes models like the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curve EV, and Harrier EV. To further strengthen its position, the company plans to launch three new electric cars by the end of 2026, targeting both premium and affordable segments.
The first of these models, the Tata Sierra EV, is set to enter the market in the first quarter of FY 2027, between April and June 2026. This premium SUV will be based on Tata’s ‘acti.ev+’ platform and is expected to feature large battery packs of 55 kWh and 65 kWh, offering a range of over 500 kilometers.
Next is the updated Tata Tiago EV, which is anticipated to launch around Diwali in the third quarter of 2026. The new version will come with redesigned headlights, sporty bumpers, and upgraded interior features, along with a higher capacity battery.
Finally, the Tata Avinya EV, the brand’s first electric sportsback, is expected to hit the roads by the end of 2026. Built on Jaguar Land Rover’s ‘Electrified Modular Architecture’ (EMA), this luxury vehicle will compete with high-end models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, boasting a range of over 600 kilometers.
Tata Motors is set to make significant strides in the electric vehicle sector with these upcoming launches.
