Mumbai, March 16: The wait for students of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for their 12th-grade results is nearing an end as the board has commenced the physical verification process for potential toppers. This significant step indicates that the results could be announced at any moment.
The topper verification is a unique and transparent process employed by the Bihar board. Before finalizing the results, a list of students who scored the highest marks in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams is prepared. These students are then called to the board office, where a team of experts conducts interviews.
During this process, students are asked questions related to their subjects, and their handwriting is matched with their answer sheets. The primary aim is to ensure that the student has genuinely taken the exam and is deserving of the accolades. Only after this verification process is completed are the names of the official toppers announced.
According to updates, the topper verification process is expected to be completed within the next two to three days. Following this, BSEB President Anand Kishore will announce the results in a press conference. It is anticipated that the results will be released between the third and fourth week of March.
This year, over 1.3 million students from across the state participated in the Bihar Board 12th examination. The board aims to maintain its record of being the first in the country to announce results.
Students can check their results on the official Bihar Board websites, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and biharboardonline.com, as well as on the Live Hindustan website.
For those dissatisfied with their results, the board has provisions for scrutiny applications. Additionally, students failing in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to take compartmental exams to avoid losing an academic year. Students are advised to rely solely on the official board website for information and to avoid unofficial news.
