Mumbai, October 21 (Udaipur Kiran): Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which opened to a strong start earlier this month, is now facing a steep decline at the box office. The film, which released on October 2, 2025, has seen its collections drop sharply after a promising first week.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected just ₹0.75 lakh on its 19th day (Monday), bringing its total domestic earnings to ₹59.25 crore. Made on an estimated budget of ₹80 crore, the film is now struggling to recover its production costs.

Tough Competition from ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’

While Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari enjoyed a strong opening weekend, its box office performance took a hit following the release of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, which diverted much of the audience attention.
