Farmers to Get Digital Identity; Farmer Registry to Streamline Agricultural Processes
Udaipur, January 31 – Under the guidance of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is launching a groundbreaking initiative to digitally empower farmers through the Agristack scheme. Following the successful pilot project in Sikar, the government has decided to implement the Farmer Registry Campaign across all districts of Rajasthan, starting February 5, 2025.
The campaign will be conducted through village-level camps, where farmers will be registered and issued a unique 11-digit digital ID to enhance accessibility to government schemes, financial assistance, and agricultural support services.

What is Agristack and Farmer Registry?
The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India is implementing the Agristack Digital Agriculture Project to provide farmers with better financial access, high-quality agricultural inputs, targeted advisories, and seamless market connectivity.
Key components of Agristack include:

✅ GIS-based real-time crop surveys
✅ Dynamic linking of land records
✅ Farmer database integration (Farmer Registry)
Through this initiative, farmers will receive digital identity cards (Farmer ID) linked to Aadhaar and land records, ensuring:

Statewide Farmer Registry Campaign from February 5
The Farmer Registry Campaign will be implemented in a phased manner:
- February 5–9: Camps in one gram panchayat per tehsil per week
- February 10–16: Expansion to two gram panchayats per tehsil per week
- February 17–March 31: Intensive outreach in five gram panchayats per tehsil per week
The District Collector (Land Records), Arvind Poswal, has issued a detailed schedule for the registration process across Udaipur and other districts. Officials have been assigned specific responsibilities to ensure the campaign’s successful execution.
Key Features of the Farmer Registry
The Farmer Registry will consolidate land revenue records, enabling online verification of farmers’ landholdings. The system will include:

📌 Landholding and khata (ownership) information
📌 Mobile number for scheme notifications
📌 e-KYC verification for authentication
Any changes in land ownership (inheritance, sale, etc.) will be automatically updated in the registry, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
