SSI MantraM “Made in India” Surgical Robot Yatra Begins India Tour, Covering 1500 km Across Rajasthan

Udaipur: SS Innovations, the pioneer behind India’s first indigenously developed surgical robotic system, SSI Mantra, has officially flagged off its ambitious SSI MantraM “Made in India” Surgical Robot Yatra. The national roadshow commenced from the company’s headquarters in Gurugram and was inaugurated by Shri Rao Narbir Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Industries & Commerce, Government of Haryana.

Made in India

This groundbreaking initiative marks the launch of India’s first-ever mobile robotic surgery training and demonstration unit — a unique “telesurgery-on-wheels” platform designed to bring advanced surgical technology directly to hospitals and medical professionals across the country.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder, Chairman & CEO of SS Innovations, stated,
“SSI MantraM is not just a mobile training and demo unit — it’s a nationwide movement aimed at decentralizing access to top-tier surgical education. As this unit travels across cities, it reflects India’s self-reliance in surgical robotics and breaks barriers to advanced healthcare. Equipped with advanced telecommunications and undergoing R&D for future satellite integration, the MantraM is poised for real-time telesurgeries, even in remote regions. For now, it offers doctors hands-on training, live demos, and interactive learning experiences. It’s a step toward an inclusive future where cutting-edge surgical care reaches every corner of India.”

In its first leg, the SSI MantraM Yatra will travel across Rajasthan, covering approximately 1500 kilometers. The itinerary includes:

  • July 3–4: SMS Medical College, Jaipur – Live demonstrations and training for medical professionals.

  • July 4 (afternoon)–6: AIIMS Jodhpur – Participation in RUFCON 2025 medical conference.

  • July 6 (evening)–7: Mathura Das Mathur Medical College, Jodhpur – Interactive sessions and training.

  • July 8: Final showcase at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer.

Following the conclusion of the Rajasthan tour, the MantraM unit will return to Gurugram for further deployments in upcoming phases of the all-India roadshow.

With this initiative, SS Innovations reinforces its mission to revolutionize healthcare delivery by making robotic-assisted surgery accessible, affordable, and inclusive—one city and one life at a time.
