Sikar, March 7 (Udaipur Kiran): Panic spread across several areas of Rajasthan’s Sikar district after earthquake tremors were felt early Saturday morning. The tremors were recorded at around 6:33 am, when many people had just woken up, causing fear among residents.

According to information received, people suddenly felt the ground shaking, prompting many to rush out of their homes in panic. Ceiling fans were seen swaying and utensils kept in kitchens reportedly fell due to the impact of the tremors.
Residents said that two tremors were felt in quick succession while most people were still in bed. The sudden movement of the earth created panic in several villages and towns of the district.
Preliminary reports indicate that the earthquake measured 4.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre reported in Sikar. Tremors were felt not only in the district headquarters but also in nearby areas including Ranoli, Khatushyamji, Fatehpur and Laxmangarh, along with several surrounding villages.
Following the tremors, many residents stayed outside their homes for some time due to fear. However, no reports of any loss of life or property have been received so far, according to initial information.
Administrative officials said that details are still being collected from the areas where the tremors were felt.
