New Delhi, March 18 – Rajasthan Royals (RR) skipper Sanju Samson has rejoined the squad after undergoing finger surgery last month. Samson had been recovering at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, where he was undergoing rehabilitation. However, there is still uncertainty regarding whether he will take up wicketkeeping duties immediately. If he is not fully fit, Dhruv Jurel may take over the gloves for the team.

Notably, Jurel had stepped in as wicketkeeper during the fifth T20I against England in February, when Samson was ruled out due to injury. The incident occurred when a Jofra Archer delivery struck Samson’s finger, forcing him off the field.
Meanwhile, all-rounder Riyan Parag has fully recovered from a shoulder injury and is set to feature for Rajasthan Royals. Parag had missed the T20I series against South Africa and England, but made a strong comeback in the Ranji Trophy, scoring a half-century and bowling 26 overs in the match against Saurashtra.
Rajasthan Royals will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 in Hyderabad. The team will then play two consecutive home matches in Guwahati—against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 and Chennai Super Kings on March 30.
