Udaipur, October 28 – The nomination scrutiny for the Salumber Assembly By-Election 2024 was conducted on Monday, leading to the rejection of one candidate’s nomination. The deadline for candidates to withdraw their nominations is set for October 30.

District Election Officer Arvind Poswal shared that a total of seven candidates had filed their nominations for the Salumber Assembly By-Election. According to Returning Officer Parvatsingh Chundawat, the nomination scrutiny resulted in the rejection of the nomination of Avinash, son of Amritlal Meena.
The following nominations were confirmed as valid: Shantadevi, wife of late Amritlal Meena from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP); Reshma Meena, wife of Sundarlal Meena from the Indian National Congress; Jiteshkumar Katara, son of Rameshchandra Meena from the Bharatiya Tribal Party; Shankarlal Meena from the Communist Party of India (Marxist); Keshulal, son of Tejiya Meena from the Ambedkarite Party of India; and independent candidate Dr. Savita Ahari.
Candidates who wish to withdraw their nominations may do so until the final deadline on October 30.
