
Udaipur, October 19: No nomination papers were submitted on Saturday, the second day of the nomination process for the Salumbar Assembly By-Election 2024. Since Sunday is a public holiday, no nominations will be accepted. The last date for submitting nomination papers is October 25.
District Election Officer Arvind Poswal informed that by-elections are being held in seven assembly constituencies across the state, including the Salumbar Assembly constituency. As per the directives of the Election Commission of India, the election notification was issued on Friday, and the nomination process began on the same day. However, by 3 PM on October 19, no candidates had submitted their nomination papers at the office of the Returning Officer in Salumbar.
The last date for filing nominations is October 25, with the scrutiny of nomination papers scheduled for October 28. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until October 30.
