With millions of followers and numerous collaborations with Turtle Beach, Midnight Society and more, Dr. Dice has had a huge impact on the gaming community.
However, all of these companies separated from Dr. Disrespect after it was revealed the doctor was sending inappropriate messages to minors.
Dr. Themed Turtle Beach Headphones removed Disrespect from its stores and Midnight Society, the gaming company co-founded by the Doctor, decided to end its partnership with Doctor Disrespect.
Rogue Company, a game developed by HiRez, caught the attention of the gaming community in its early stages as a new 5v5 multiplayer shooter. During the hype era, the developers teamed up with Dr. Disrespect teamed up to create a skin and full map exclusively for him.
This game has been inactive for almost a year and there is no new content or updates from the developer. However, some players have noticed that the Dr. Dis-Respect skin was cleverly removed from the game.
A Redditor posted a video watching Rogue Company with the Dr. Dis skin plays. The skin is visible on the home screen, but it appears to default to a different character in the game, even if the character respawns after the game ends.
After comments were posted on the subreddit confirming the video’s return, Rogue developers revealed to X that all Dr. Disrespect were removed.
“Hey Rogue Company, we have disabled the Doctor Disrespect content that was previously available in the game. This week we will issue a full Rogue Buck refund to affected accounts,” the company said in a statement.
However, despite the promise of a refund, players were not happy with the decision to refund in in-game currency instead of real money.
One commenter said: “Give me my money back. I don’t want to buy any more of your crappy skins.”
Rogue guarantees players that they will receive their refund during the week of July 8th to 14th. Therefore, be sure to check your account for the in-game currency.
