Udaipur Kiran: On the eve of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani’s 93rd birth anniversary, Reliance Foundation announced the results of its prestigious Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships for the academic year 2025-26.
This year, 5,000 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate students from across India have been selected for these scholarships, continuing Reliance Foundation’s commitment to nurturing young talent. Since 2022, Reliance Foundation pledged to award 50,000 scholarships over 10 years, and so far has granted over 33,000 scholarships to deserving students.
The selection process was highly competitive, with over 1,25,000 applications received from 15,544 institutes across 28 states and four Union Territories. These scholars represent India’s diverse and talented youth, reflecting the programme’s pan-India reach.
A spokesperson from Reliance Foundation said, “Our scholarships aim to provide not only financial support but also mentoring and a strong peer network to accelerate the scholars’ growth. We are proud to support these 5,100 exceptional UG and PG students who are pushing boundaries and striving for a developed India.”
The scholarships offer financial grants up to Rs 2 lakhs for undergraduates and Rs 6 lakhs for postgraduate scholars. Additionally, 83% of the selected scholars come from families with an annual income below Rs 2.5 lakhs, highlighting the scheme’s merit-cum-means approach.
Academic excellence is a hallmark of this cohort, with 97% of undergraduate scholars having scored above 90 percent in their Class XII exams. Gender balance is also a focus, with 48% female and 52% male scholars among the undergraduates. The programme is inclusive, with 146 persons with disabilities (PwD) selected this year.
The 100 postgraduate scholars represent top talent in future-ready fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Renewable Energy, and Life Sciences. These scholars benefit from expert-led development programmes and access to a global alumni network, aiding their leadership growth and career advancement.
