New Delhi, March 15: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal married content creator Shweta Pundir in a private ceremony last month in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Yash was part of the RCB team that emerged as champions in IPL 2025, taking 13 wickets in 15 matches.
According to media reports that surfaced on Sunday, the wedding took place on February 4 and was attended only by close family members and relatives. The couple has not made any official announcement about their marriage on social media. However, Shweta shared a short video of moments spent with Yash on her Instagram account.
Shweta Pundir, Yash Dayal’s wife, is a social media influencer and blogger from Delhi, boasting over 550,000 followers on Instagram. She has also worked as a broadcaster for the Legends League Cricket. Yash has gradually made a name for himself as a reliable left-arm fast bowler in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL), making his debut in 2022 for Gujarat Titans.
After playing for Gujarat for two years, Yash joined RCB in 2024 and played a crucial role in their championship win in IPL 2025. This performance led RCB to retain him for IPL 2026. Yash was selected for the Indian team for the home Test series against Bangladesh due to his impressive performances, although he has yet to make his international debut.
Off the field, Yash has been entangled in legal matters related to allegations against him. In January this year, the Rajasthan High Court granted him anticipatory bail in one case, while a lower court had previously rejected his plea. This matter is still under legal proceedings. Yash Dayal’s role in IPL 2026 will be significant for RCB, as they are set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match on March 28 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
