Ahmedabad, April 5: In an exciting match of IPL 2026 held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Rajasthan Royals (RR) clinched a thrilling victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) by just 6 runs. Ravi Bishnoi was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance. However, he attributed the win to his teammates, Tushar Deshpande and Jofra Archer.
After the match, Bishnoi stated, “Last season was tough, but I tried to stick to my process. I would miss my length and get hit for sixes; that was my only weakness. If I get hit on my length, there’s no issue. You saw in this match that when I bowled full length, I conceded runs, but on good length, I didn’t. I have worked on this mentally, physically, and technically.”
He highlighted the importance of taking Rahul Tewatia’s wicket, noting, “He is known as a great finisher. If he hadn’t been out, the match could have gone either way.”
Bishnoi expressed his happiness over the team’s victory, emphasizing, “What matters is how Tushar bowled at the end and how Jofra bowled in the 19th over. It was a collective effort that led us to win. We are a young team and want to continue playing like this.”

In the final two overs, GT needed 15 runs to win with 3 wickets remaining. Jofra Archer conceded only 4 runs in the 19th over, leaving GT needing 11 runs in the last over. Tushar Deshpande bowled brilliantly, giving away just 4 runs and securing a 6-run victory for the team. GT managed to score 204 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs.
