Mumbai, May 1: South cinema superstar Ram Charan’s highly anticipated action drama ‘Peddi’ is all set to hit theaters. The makers announced the release date on Friday.
Ram Charan shared the film’s poster on Instagram, stating, “‘Peddi’ will release in theaters on June 4.” Fans are visibly excited, expressing their eagerness to watch the film in the comments section.
‘Peddi’ has been in the spotlight since its shooting phase, featuring powerful action scenes. During filming, Ram Charan sustained an injury above his eye while shooting an action sequence, requiring four stitches. Fortunately, his eye is completely safe, and the injury was minor, allowing him to return to work promptly.
The film is directed and written by Buchi Babu Sana and is set against the backdrop of rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980s, where an enthusiastic villager unites his community through sports. Alongside Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor plays the lead role, with Shiv Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapati Babu also featured, enhancing the significance of this much-anticipated project. The film is produced by Venkat Satish Kilaru under his production company Riddhi Cinema, in collaboration with the production house Mythri Movie Makers.
Previously, Ram Charan appeared in ‘Gamechanger,’ released in 2025, where he portrayed an honest IAS officer named ‘Ram’ who battles corrupt politicians.
