Sirohi, October 4 (Udaipur Kiran News): Rajasthan’s only hill station, Mount Abu, has once again turned into a lush green paradise following continuous rainfall over the past few days. The showers have rejuvenated its waterfalls, lakes, and hills, making it a breathtaking sight for tourists. Mist-covered valleys, gushing streams, and cool mountain breezes have created a scenic atmosphere reminiscent of a hill retreat in the clouds.

According to local weather data, Mount Abu recorded 52.4 mm rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8 AM on Saturday, taking the season’s total rainfall to 1,885.2 mm, significantly higher than the average.
Tourist Spots Come Alive
With the rains, the once-dry waterfalls along the Mount Abu–Abu Road route and up to Guru Shikhar have sprung back to life. Flowing streams and green slopes have become a major draw for visitors. Light rainfall in the afternoon turned into a steady downpour by evening, adding to the hill station’s charm.
Even though dense fog at higher altitudes reduced visibility, tourists found the misty landscapes thrilling. Popular spots like Nakki Lake, Guru Shikhar, Honeymoon Point, Toad Rock, and Sunset Point saw heavy footfall of visitors enjoying the rain-soaked beauty.
The Nakki Lake and Lower Kodra Dam are now overflowing, with scenic “water curtains” attracting crowds until late evening. Water from nearby streams has raised the lake’s water level, while small waterfalls along Guru Shikhar Road and Lower Kodra have become favorite spots for photos and videos among youth.
Tourism Boost and Cool Weather
The monsoon has brought a refreshing chill to Mount Abu’s weather, with maximum temperature at 28°C and minimum at 17°C. Local hotel owners reported a 40% rise in occupancy over the past two days as weekend tourists arrived in large numbers.
The Nakki Lake area, main market, and Guru Shikhar Road witnessed long vehicle queues, prompting local authorities to urge caution and slow driving on slippery roads.
Along with the scenic appeal, religious tourism has also seen an uptick, with more devotees visiting Dilwara Jain Temples, Achalgarh Fort, and Guru Shikhar Temple.
Mount Abu: A Monsoon Haven
After a long dry spell, the rains have revived the valleys, forests, and slopes, turning Mount Abu into a true “Monsoon Paradise.” The fresh greenery, sound of waterfalls, and misty air offer visitors tranquility and rejuvenation.
Tourists from Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra are flocking to the hill station to experience its rain-drenched beauty and capture stunning views of verdant hills and cloud-covered peaks.
